Let’s get this BREAADD! 😂 I got to miss NYC’s awful, rainy weather earlier this week by soaking up the sun in South Carolina. Now I’m back to the reality of non-vacation life, and working while my shoes are soaking wet from walking to the subway this morning. On days like this, all I really want is some crispy hot #bread to enjoy and something good to dunk it into. Good thing I fell in love with this creamy, sweet, whipped ricotta at @boweryroad for days like this!
One of my favorite meat dishes in the city: Steak Frites Au Poivre with peppercorn cream sauce from @boucherienyc. This is such a staple and I was so lucky to get to enjoy it with my favorite chicken keeper and Farm show host @fresheggsdaily! If you’re feeling like some pasta, I also would HIGHLY recommend their rigatoni bolognese... some of the best I’ve had in quite some time! Always an incredible meal here! 👌
When it comes to rooftops you MUST check out this summer, @monarchnyc should be high up on your list. You can expect tasty appetizers and even better drinks along with an incredible view of the Empire State Building (check out last photo to see what I mean)! Whether it’s an afternoon enjoying the weather, a sunset happy hour, or a night out, this is one of my favorite spots to head to in the city, especially when friends are visiting from out of town! If you have the chance, try to hit up their Flamingo Bingo events, which was the most exciting and fun bingo game I’ve ever experienced. Think lots of free drinks and tons of dancing!! 💃🏻
It’s hard to go wrong with ordering when you dine at a generations-old, family-run restaurant on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. Went here to celebrate with friends and was not disappointed at Trattoria Tra Di Noi. Everything is made with so much love here, and MAN do I wish I also ordered the carbonara...looked absolutely amazing as well. This spot is great for a weekend trip just a short Metro North ride outside of Manhattan 🍝
One of the new summer menu items from @theospreybk. Was a huge fan of this creamy and delicious cavatelli dish along with the T-bone steak and the insanely tasty bacon-wrapped figs. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous and is located in a prime spot in #Brooklyn since it’s part of the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge- filled with incredible bridge and city views!
Embraced my inner #Italian at @raviolonyc with their awesome Italian-flag inspired pasta meal! Red, white, and green fills the skillet thanks to the red sauce, carbonara, and pesto sauce that tops the perfectly cooked pasta 🇮🇹 They have such unique ravioli options here too, like ham and cheese stuffed ravioli! 👌🏼
Ended up a true meatBALLER like the real @meatballers with this creamy Parmesan topped polenta & meatball dish. WOW. What could be better? The Meatball Shop is giving away complementary meatball dishes every Friday this month from 3-6pm! If you’re like me and not only love #free stuff, but also love meatballs, then I’ll see ya there 😎 Side note, I ate this sitting outside and got a sunburn on one arm. Not sure if having the color is a good thing or just really pathetic...
Had such a fun experience welcoming the nice weather in at @socialdrinkandfood. Didn’t expect the rooftop to be as scenic as it was and for the food to be so good! They served up some awesome apps and grilled up burgers right in front of everyone on the outdoor patio. The quest for the best rooftops in NYC has commenced and is off to a good start 😎🥂
