I hope this year brings more love, happiness and answers for everyone. I’m not going to blab on about how 2018 was. Just take the memories of it and learn. I used to be so against resolutions because I thought it was unrealistic and had the “people don’t change” mentality. But I was so wrong. I’ve now come to love resolutions because people can change and change is a good thing. I encourage everyone I know to find something that they could work on and actually do it. Admit your flaws and take advantage of the opportunity to join the majority of people on this planet that are wanting change in their life.
“It is estimated that more than 200 million girls and women alive today have undergone female genital mutilation in the countries where the practice is concentrated. Furthermore, there are an estimated 3 million girls at risk of undergoing female genital mutilation every year. The majority of girls are cut before they turn 15 years old” (see Figure 1). “Female genital mutilation has been documented in 30 countries, mainly in Africa, as well as in the Middle East and Asia. Some forms of female genital mutilation have also been reported in other countries, including among certain ethnic groups in South America. Moreover, growing migration has increased the number of girls and women living outside their country of origin who have undergone female genital mutilation or who may be at risk of being subjected to the practice in Europe, Australia and North America.” Source: UNICEF sorry not sorry for the picture of a woman’s drawn out genitalia. It disgusts me that this is happening and it’s not being talked about enough because I was not aware of exactly how many woman/girls are being affected by this everyday. If this doesn’t bother you, something is seriously wrong with you. It’s 5:30 am and I’m bothered. ———————————————————————————
