Boats on Blue Waters, Cinque Terre, Italy 🌏 #anodetotheworld ~ ~ A UNESCO world heritage site, Cinque Terre(meaning five lands) has been in existence in some form or another since the 11th century. ~ ~ There are only two ways to reach Cinque Terre, by foot or by a train. We made the hour long drive to La Spezia from Pisa and took the train for our day trip. ~ ~ If you plan on visiting these sites: -Get there early before the crowd. This was one of the most crowded destinations we’ve been to. -Don’t forget your beach wear -Try the hike, if you have time and the weather permits.
The cutest Antelope of Tanzania. Tarangire National Park, Tanzania 🌍 #anodetotheworld . . This is a Dik Dik, one of the smallest species of Antelopes. . They are only about 14 inches tall, mate for life, roam in pairs and mark their territory with tears(that’s pretty goth). . . This one, whom I shall call Richard, stood in front of our SUV and posed for us for all of twenty seconds before running away.
Colorful Rooftops, Valparaiso, Chile 🌎#anodetotheworld . . Located just an hour and half drive from Santiago, Valparaiso is a coastal town port known for its colorful rooftops and steep landscape. . . The day before we were to leave for Valparaiso was The Feast if the Immaculate conception, a national holiday in Chile. The highways are shut down and may people make the 80 km trip by foot or on bike. Some even walked some of the distance on their knees. . . We, however, booked a day trip from Santiago that picked us up from our hotel at the crack of dawn. On the beautiful drive from Santiago we passed by Lago Penuelas national reserve, and could see the stark differences in flora shaped by the landscape. . . We walked around Valparaiso for a few hours and headed onto Vina Del Mar. on the way back was an obligatory stop at a Chilean winery.

So, any hike during hot days should be planned for with the hot Texas Sun in mind as the tree’s do not have much shade to offer. . . Sitting far away from civilization, The Big Bend is a perfect location for star gazers. So, bring your telescope or visit the McDonald Observatory.
Sunset over Hauraki Gulf, Auckland, New Zealand 🌏#anodetotheworld . . Waiheke Island is located north of Auckland and can be reached by a Ferry in about forty minutes. . . With beautiful beaches(don’t forget your beach wear), independently owned restaurants and excellent wineries, the island has much to offer for day trippers or if you’re staying overnight. . . Bus service runs through all the main areas of the island and is fairly frequent. However if you are on a day tour, it might be worthwhile to rent ebikes to save time. Since there are plenty of wineries with excellent restaurants located inside them, you might also consider ditching the drive and take taxis or public transportation. . . Our trip comprised of a mini tour that took us around the island, a quick stop at a beachside restaurant to grab a quick bite and beer followed by a little exploration by walking. We then hit up a beach for a little while followed by food+drinks. We ended the day at a winery before heading back to Auckland. . . Pictured above is the Sunset over Hauraki Gulf ramen from our ferry back to Auckland.

Travelling isn't just about taking pretty pictures right...? We've been travelling around the UK and Europe for a little more than a month now. With the purpose of building content and sharing the lesser known places and tours with all of you. But sadly, all I'm left with is a few photos like this one that I managed to transfer and had shared with family to let them know where I am. As a new aspiring photographer I am still learning the tricks of the trade, capturing all the right angles and backing up photos...I was sadly not on top of the last one and my SD card broke into pieces yesterday. I have contemplated going back just to get all the photos, maybe just the highlights so I have content to share but it seems no matter how I visit all the places I have been to there is no way to experience all the same things or eat all the same food in the same way again. So instead, I have decided to move forward, celebrate the fact that I got to visit all the places I did and continue my journey onwards. What would all of you content creators do? Go back to capture the shots or move forward? A quick fact about the Rundale Palace, maybe some of you that have been to St. Petersburg will recognize the similarities. This palace was designed by Domenico Trezzini the same architect that designed the Winter Palace for Peter the Great. #anodetotheworld#shithappens
Porthead Lighthouse, first lit in 1791. Portland, Maine, USA🌎#anodetotheworld . . Costal Maine has some of the oldest lighthouses in the United States. So, on our drive back to Boston from Acadia National Park, we made a pit stop in Portland to see a few. . . While the advent of GPS has made these obsolete, the beautiful lighthouses remind us of how a tiny glimmer of light, viewed from miles away, instilled hope on a stormy night or signalled the end of a journey.
Wildlife comes in all sizes. Leafcutter Ants, Chichen Itza, Mexico🇲🇽 #anodetotheworld ~ ~ We did the day tour of Chichen Itza from Cancun. Upon our arrival, while our guide was walking us into the Ruinas Mayas these little fellas grabbed my attention. I was so enthralled by them that looking back though our photo album, I realize that I have more pictures of the Ants than El Castillo itself. ~ ~ What have you been surprised by looking back on your travels?
Sunrise🌞over clouds. Viewed from the the Red hill summit of Halaekalā, Maui , Hawaii. #anodetotheworld . . We drove up to the Red Hill before dawn with Hoodies we purchased the night before to view this majestic sunrise over the Haleakala, the House of the Sun. . . While the hoodies barely kept us warm, the sunrise followed by beautiful views of the seven mile long crater and the drive down were well worth it.
Arpoador 🌎Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 🇧🇷 . . Arpoador is a beautiful small peninsula located between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches in Rio de Janeiro. The area is apparently full of surfers on a regular day but since we went to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup, we hardly found any on this day. . . Covered in rocks and set at an angle, you can see the sun setting over the ocean certain days of the year. . . Since this is such a rare occurrence(Rio is on the East coast), the beach is quite crowded we’ve been told. . . So if you happen to be in the area during this rare occasion, get there early for a good spot. If you’re not (like us) grab a caipirinha and enjoy the sights.
Have you ever heard of Košice? Well neither had I before this trip to Slovakia. It's a little Medieval City on the eastern side of the country close to the Hungarian border. Walking through the old town felt like a fairytale with brightly colored buildings adorning the streets. And after a long while I spotted fewer tourists over locals. Goes to show you that sometimes the unplanned and unknown isn't so bad and if I had my whole trip planned I might have not stumbled into the magical place that's Košice! #anodetotheworld

A historic circular street of townhouses, The Circus was built almost 250 years ago 😱 ~ With large columns on each side, perfectly symmetrical in all directions, centered with a green space, this neighborhood is just a 15 minute (*cough* uphill) walk from the Bath city center. ~ Although Bath was unusually sunny and hot during our visit, there were plenty of stops along the way to take in the sights and sounds of this marvelous city. ~ Once you reach The Circus, you’ll be greeted by a circular green space with large trees where you can relax and taken in the beautiful Georgian architecture. ~ Note that people do live in this neighborhood, so be respectful of their privacy. #anodetotheworld
