Williamsburg was the first neighborhood where I truly felt at home on my own. My first couple of years in New York were so difficult and lonely and overwhelming, but moving over here was when the city finally started to feel like home. At first, I lived in a tiny little apartment on top of the subway with windows that didn’t lock and ceilings that were about to cave in, but I made so many friends and had so much fun that my actual New York life was finally living up to the dreams I had had for so many years. A couple of years later, Brandon and I moved into our first home - our little studio apartment here at the waterfront that we filled with plants and named the tiki shack. I have been loving our new life together in LA, but a couple of days back in the one neighborhood that still feels so much like home made my heart so full.
⚡️ 200k! ⚡️What does that even mean? I’ve been looking at my profile over the last day and they number doesn’t seem real. Looking back at when we started sharing our life and work via Instagram, follower numbers like this seemed like celebrities to me. I’ve been working on putting together a long, long blog entry on how i built this, what I do every day, and what has actually changed in my life since becoming an ~Instagram Person~. If there is anything you really want to know, let me know here!! 👇🏻
