Serenity and Grace

Serenity and grace.
Serenity and Grace By @ucheedochie Acrylic on Canvas 2018 Serenity and grace. That is how I remember her. Children notice everything. It is hard to believe because of how absent minded they appear while playing but they do. They notice the demeanor, gesticulations, opinions and temperament of their parents. We don't even realise how much attention we are paying until we grow up and realise that in many ways, we have become our fathers and mothers. One of my most enduring memories of my mother growing up was how calm and graceful she was and still is. Hers was a posture and aura that was very reassuring especially in tormentous times. It didn't matter what was happening at the time. Whenever mother walked into a room, everything was alright again. Life was suddenly promising again. All was well in the world again. Serenity and grace. These two words best describe her. Isn't it ironic the way we clashed with our parents growing up because we felt that they weren't sufficiently driven and ruthless enough to grab life by the pony tail? And then we grew up and with maturity came clarity. Now we look back and in more ways than one, we wish we were just like our parents. Calm, graceful and always playing the long game. #art#painting#africanart#portraitpainter#portrait#acrylicpainting#modernart#modernnigerianart#studioart#instagramart#instagram#art#nigerianart#nigerianartist#africanartist#gallery#artcollectors#blackart#africanartcollector#artvideo#artvideos#canvas

Works of Nigerian artist @oluwatobiloba.amusan Titled: MAN & NATURE (series) #africanart _____________________ From the Archive, photography project works tilted: Man & Nature. It an ongoing projects that I started early this year and the more i kept making more research on exploring, the more it gets fascinating. This project is aimed at creating an awareness of how God wonderfully endowed Mankind with Nature; how this has also been our only reliance for our physical survival and to imperatively remind us of what nature has given to us. Without nature, our physical world would have become ho-hum. Now I see the reason why God had to created the natural world first and afterwards created man to inhabit it, man has been given the divine task to take dominion over all the God created. With out nature , humankind is naked.
