P.S. - Weighted pull ups are easily one of the most underutilized back exercises - START DOING THEM. . Protocol today was 12 sets of 4-5 reps with 45 lbs. strapped to me. 150 seconds rest in between. . If you’ve been working on and improving you’re deadlift, testing your 1RM in the box jump will be a great indicator how much explosive power you’re gaining in your posterior chain. . . . Why? Well, outside of the fact that he works out for a living, and is a world class athlete, he’s a SPRINTER. While playing he does bouts of moderate movement, followed by EXCESSIVE AND EXTREME BURSTS OF SPEED. . . This is a scientific fact. Your body NEEDS time to recover and adapt. . . Here are some keys points you need to be aware of if you’re working out 4-5 times per week for an hour or more. . . ✅ Every 3rd week, download the the amount of volume you’re doing by 30-40%. . . ✅ Every 12th week take an entire week off and focus on active rest, mobility, structural balance, and remedial work. . . ✅ PLEASE.
