This may in fact be by far the ugliest snowman I’ve ever seen, let alone help construct. But the kids were stoked and pretty proud. They say they hope tonight’s snow doesn’t “knock his head off.” 🤣 Ash and I also buried Scarlett under a pile of snow at her request. They’re looking forward to more shenanigans in the snow in the morning.
Our view from the 37th floor at Vdara. The staff was amazing and had some of the best customer service I’ve experienced. It was a pleasure being able to talk with the staff in the mornings when I’d head down to the lobby to get my morning coffee. They were all very gracious from the bellhops to the customer service agents to the fantastic security officers. As an extra bonus, the bathtubs are amazing- just what is needed after so many days walking up and down the Las Vegas strip. All in all, I can definitely say that the Vdara is an excellent option if you’re planning to stay on the strip.
I am hoping I am giving credit where credit is due. As a first time explorer of the casinos, it was difficult at times to distinguish where one casino ended and another began. This could have possibly been at the Palazzo where the two casinos meet, but I’m leaning more towards the display being housed at The Venetian. Regardless, this was another beautiful display celebrating the #yearofthepig2019
The Bellagio’ Observatory had the most amazing display celebrating #chinesenewyear2019 and the #yearofthepig . Very beautiful and most impressive. I couldn’t stop taking pictures. These are only a few of the many that I took with my favorite being the 8th one showing the enormous pig and some baby pigs that jump out on springs. The giant vegetables flowing down just added to the overall picture of abundance heading into the new year. Not shown:koi pond!
Part 2/2 —Some final shots from the Texas African American History Memorial in #austintexas with @ninjalee1981 last year? Maybe two years ago now. Being the history buff that I am, I’m always a fan of the plaques that describe the history of the area so I wanted to make sure that I included them for others like myself. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fit them all on one post! #fbf#blackhistorymonth#texasstatecapital
Part 1/2: On this 1st day of February, as well as the 1st day of #blackhistorymonth , I dedicate this #fbf to the time @ninjalee1981 and I visited the #texasstatecapital in #austintexas and had the privilege of touring the Texas African American History Memorial. The capital is beautiful both inside and out, but I remember us being particularly fascinated by the detail that was put into the statues, particularly the faces.
