Ant-Man 3: 10 Ways Kang The Conqueror's Introduction Will Change The MCU Forever

Despite rumours that M.O.D.O.K. would be Ant-Man 3's big bad, it was revealed yesterday that Lovecraft County's Jonathan Majors has been cast as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Studios threequel. What role he'll play is unclear, but it's believed that this Avengers baddie will be the movie's lead villain, and not just a supporting player.

Kang has fought The Avengers on countless occasions, and given his habit of travelling through time, Earth's Mightiest Heroes are never quite sure whether they've met the version they're facing before. Born in the 31st Century, he used technology created by Doctor Doom to travel back to ancient Egypt and become a God.

From there, "Rama-Tut" would go by a number of names - The Scarlet Centurion and Immortus among them - but it wasn't until he realised how much he enjoyed conquering and ruling timelines that he embraced his newfound role as "Kang the Conqueror." The one that's always eluded him, of course, is protected by The Avengers.

With a villain like this, it's clear some major changes are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it seems Ant-Man helping Iron Man discover time-travel will come back to bite him in a big way. However, there may be larger consequences for this shared world thanks to Kang's introduction...
